What our PAUSE participants are saying…

PAUSE was truly uplifting and nourishing for the soul. Being immersed in nature and then in art, created the right conditions for creative serenity. I left the experience feeling calm, connected, and accomplished which I don’t often feel living a fast-paced city lifestyle.

I highly recommend it for friends looking for a unique group experience – your take-home art is exquisitely framed in walnut wood which really elevates the piece!

Transforming our nature finds into a personal expressions of our experience was wonderful. The encaustic collages we produced will alway be a special reminder of such a fabulous, creative time in the Melt Studio.

Celebrating our 40 years together we strengthened our bonds and forged new memories. Thank you enriching our Prince Edward County adventure!!

I wasn't sure what to expect but now I do… PAUSE starts with a beautiful nature walk that was both invigorating and introspective. Afterward, we all made beautiful art! We were all enjoying the journey, so hyper-focused on our creations that it was soothing us. I was more "present " today than I have been in a long time. It felt gooooood... I had so much fun with my girl brigade!

“I really enjoyed the Pause Nature & Art experience. Not only was the walk through the Honey Pie Hives gardens delightful, but educational as well. We got to try various honeys, and Bay made us a herbal tea that actually changed colour while steeping. It tasted great too. At Melt Studios we incorporated some finds from our walk, along with items Susan had at the studio. Susan and her assistant Tori walked us through the steps to make our own very unique, encaustic paintings—which I love. To the artist in all of us, I would highly recommend this wonderful workshop!”

Seeing everyone's pieces come together was my favourite part. It was such a treat to see how everyone interpreted the experience and how each participant's personality came through in their art. I felt like I had a lot of direction but also the freedom to create something that was uniquely mine. The custom frame that you get to take home was an excellent addition.
