Rachel Hardy

 

Rachel Hardy is a mixed media artist and photographer who focuses on wildlife, nature, flight and fantasy themes. After graduating from Sheridan College’s Visual and Creative Arts program in 2015, she studied abroad at Griffith University in Australia where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Digital Media. After living in Brampton for the entirety of her life, she and her family decided to relocate to Prince Edward County to be closer to nature.

Rachel has been passionate about wildlife and animals since a young age and that passion translates into almost all her creative works. Her current main focuses are on photography and colored pencil illustrations depicting local wildlife in Prince Edward County and endangered species from around the world. Through her work she hopes to bring attention to all creatures big and small and highlight the importance of healthy ecosystems in a constantly changing world.

Rachel will be having a solo show of her photography in honour of Royal Canadian Air Force’s 100th anniversary from June 27th - July 21st called 'Centennial Flight. Opening Reception July 6th with a special artist talk starting at 1 pm.
