“The day’s end is encapsulated in wax using a bold palette of golds and oranges.  What a delight it would be to end a winter’s walk with this display of a fiery sky that one would think would melt the surrounding blankets of snow.

In this painting, I balance the bright, fiery palette of the sky with the white snow-covered ground and the exquisite white bark of the birch tree.”
