Metalwork

Hand cut Arts & Crafts Movement Chevrolet 1\2 Hood.

“My work draws on the illusion of the hanging car hood resembling a hung piece of fabric. The formal shape is enhanced by the cutwork. I typically cut patterns based on textile prints from the Arts an Craft movement. (who doesn’t love some William Morris?) Drawing close the gap between historical textile industry and automotive manufacturing to talk about craft, progress, labour and the romanticism of decay.”
