Sheryl Fisher- Reverie

CA$1,200.00

To me, Gilbert’s patina metal foliage form is a juxtaposition of fragility and resilience, and it suggests hope. The artist’s skillful use of materials echo nature’s quiet complexity of adaptation and regeneration in our ever changing environment. My response to his work was to explore with organic shapes, textures, rhythm, and form to resonate with the sculptural piece, to evoke further conversations about our precious ecosystems. Given the theme of this show, and having just visited the beautiful wine region of Prince Edward County, my piece was primarily directed by the pleasant experience of being there.
